A tribute to Easy Rider

This is a tribute to the movie Easy Rider, released in 1969, Directed by and starring Dennis Hopper, along with Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson. The cinematographer of the original was László Kovács, ASC.This piece, sponsored by Arri, was shot by Bill Bennett, ASC as an early test of the latitude of the Arri Alexa digital cinema camera. The colorist was Aaron Peak at Hollywood DI. The music is the classic, also used in the original, "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf.The camera was mounted on a Filmotechnics Flight Head, which was in turn mounted on an arm on the roof of a matte black painted Porsche Cayenne SUV, to avoid reflections in the chrome on the bikes.One of the bikes is a classic 1969 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead with a side shifter, that has been owned by that rider since it was new.
